Wish list for 2.0 release
Hi!
First of all...MANY CONGRATULATIONS for your work!!! HateML is a very good (and promising too!) product! I've seen there are many features in 1.1 release...but i post below my own personal "wish list" for 2.0 release: - (x)html tag matching brackets highlighting - (x)html code explorer - find & replace in files - code collapsing - (x)html to PHP conversion (with echo/print statements) - (x)html forms builder (wizard) - integration with help docs online (PHP, xhtml, css, js...) - multi-clipboard management - WinMerge integration - more powerful code snippets management Thank you for anything you can do.... Merry Christmas to all!

RE: Wish list for 2.0 release
Hi,
some of your ideas (like xhtml code explorer, find & replace in files, integration with helps, multi clipboard, improve code snippets) are already in my to-do. Unfortunately, some of them are definitely not, and let me please explain ![]() 1. code collapsing. HateML used to have CodeFolding feature since the version 0.6, up to 1.*something* Unfortunately the feature was buggy and I couldn't repair that easily as I relied on external library (component) for displaying and handling code-editor. I'm not able to manage both coding feature-rich editor AND feature-rich editing control, especially that I'm not experienced in anything like that. 2. (x)html forms builder. The approach I took developing HateML is definitely heading the opposite course. I'm trying to build rich php, javascript & css programming environment with many code-writing enhancements, rather than wizards-rich xhtml editor. Most of the wizards and "Insert [image/flash/body] tag" dialogs are remainders of HateML's past, when it was just a simple HTML editor. I'd really love to satisfy both php & javascript programmers as well as those who would like to simplify html-coding process. Unfortunately, I'm not able to. I'm planning to include some kind of SDK for programming plugins for HateML 2, which hopefully will allow some people to contribute this kind of stuff. Merry Christmas [a little bit late ]Best regards Michal HateML Pro The fast and easy way of web development. |

migajek Wrote:Hi, Hi Michal, Perfect! I've understood your approch in developing next release and your point of view too... Last thing! I find very useful the "select layout" wizard, with the layout preview. So, i ask you if: 1 - this feature will be manteined in 2.0 release (yes, please!) 2 - could you please make the preview-image a little bit bigger for a better readness (without loading preview into the browser) ? Anyway thanx for any new feature that 2.0 release will contain!!!! Best regards, Riccardo |

RE: Wish list for 2.0 release
Hello,
Do you know why there is not any editor which have the "delete word from the cursor left side" function (Ctrl-Del)? I miss that function very much. Could you please add that in the next version? Thank you! |

RE: Wish list for 2.0 release
There is something that I would like to be included on next version.
It would be great the editor to autocompete syntax, but not only with standard PHP functions, but also with my own functions, checking out the includes/requires I do. If I include an API file, I would like the functions in that file to be auto-completed in my script. Thanks. Guzmán |

RE: Wish list for 2.0 release
That is already done in HateML 1.1 and even earlier versions.
